The Phoenix Suns are listed on the betting odds to land Kyrie Irving for the first game of the 2023-24 season.
Phoenix has the third-best odds (+550) to have Irving on its team after the Dallas Mavericks (-165) and Los Angeles Lakers (+400) according to Odds Shark.
Irving started this season with the Brooklyn Nets and was traded to the Dallas Mavericks Feb. 6, opening the door for the Suns to trade for Kevin Durant.
The Suns were rumored to be a potential trade destination for Irving. TNT’s Chris Haynes reported the Suns offered point guard Chris Paul, estranged forward Jae Crowder and unspecified draft compensation for Irving, but the deal did not go through.
Irving will be an unrestricted free agent this summer. Phoenix could be a landing spot since Durant and Irving have a good relationship, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.
